I feel like the whole world is on a journey with food and the culture around food. So many opinions and approaches from different angles & perspectives. We aren’t perfect, but we’re really trying to learn and change our own culture as a company, to be more genuinely thoughtful towards the food chain. We consider health, wellness, sustainability, recycling, food waste or the lack thereof rather, and really enjoy the creativity that comes with this mindset.
The ultimate dream is to live on a farm and eat off the land with all we have - and may that be an absolute abundance of rich generous & beautiful produce to share with loved ones. Until then, we’re doing our best to create something beautiful with what we have, in London, in the most humble & considerate approach possible. I feel very honoured to work with some of the best suppliers in the city.
OuiChef has been around forever and has supported us since day one. Their personal service, and consistent supply of exceptional produce has made life doing what we do, incredibly smooth. Based in New Covent Garden Market, they’re at the heart of London’s best produce. We have a special relationship, because Stan’s first born son is coincidentally named Albi too!
We are passionate about good food. Where we can, we use locally sourced and seasonal produce, but sometimes, you just can’t get or beat the true high quality Italian produce. Foodelux distributes Italian produce, mainly from Emilia-Romagna, to London, Paris & Switzerland. We work closely with Stefano and he’s looked after us for a long long time. A genuine master in his field, the most passionate and kind Italian man, with a vast knowledge of his products, and generosity that spills over into the cooking. Beautiful Italian cheeses, olives & oils. Very special ingredients made with true Italian love (& drama!).
Not often do you find a butcher & a fishmonger sharing a space. A very beautiful space I’d say, on the New Kings Road in Parsons Green. Alex looks after us with A grade everything. Local fish from Cornwall, imported occasionally when necessary, and English meat of the highest standard.
Probably one of the biggest success stories during the pandemic. What a joy to see people succeed in something they’re so good at, and do with such great service & style. Some really special produce from this gem of a store in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill.
If you’ve ever had the chance to pop into one of Natoora’s retail stores, you’ll know that they are one of the sexiest places to shop! The incredible displays and lighting, completely match the quality of their amazing produce. Natoora’s mission is to be leading a food system revolution. Their mission is to replace a broken, opaque food system with a transparent & sustainable supply chain. They source radically seasonal produce that highlights the true cost of farming, protects the land from soil depletion & favours sustainable, nutritionally dense crops with revolutionary flavour. It’s simply amazing produce!
Our finishing oil is something so spectacular. It’s from the most north-east region of Portugal, made by the most lovely team, in paradise, with gratitude and appreciation for time, the land and the olives. A very special product, and so beautifully packaged. Metáfora say it best:
The Land, The Time, The Metáfora
This bottle is a metaphor for “saudade”, for the devotion and respect for the land we inherited. We proudly present a millennial blend, made exclusively from centenary and millennial olive trees. Extracted primarily from “verdeal” olives, our olive oil is remarkable for its green, bitter and spicy flavor, making it an imperative seasoning in any Mediterranean dish. Our olives are carefully selected and cold pressed the very day that they are picked from our trees, ensuring a perfectly fresh olive oil with the lowest acidity level and a flawless peroxide value.
